The Shadow Feature in Know NOW! allows users to monitor the activities and alerts of other Know NOW! users who accept the invitation to shadow. By using this feature, users can receive emergency alerts and important updates related to the location of those they are shadowing, such as family members, friends, or colleagues. This enhances safety and connectivity, ensuring that loved ones stay informed about each other’s well-being during emergencies or significant events.
The K-Banner is a crucial feature for alert notifications within the Know NOW! App. Here’s how it operates:
- Critical Alerts: When a critical alert is issued, the K-Banner expands and turns red, displaying the type of alert. It remains red for the duration of the alert. Pressing the K-Banner takes users directly to the alert details.
- Advisory Alerts: Similar to critical alerts, the K-Banner expands and turns yellow for advisory alerts.
- No Alerts: If there are no active alerts, the K-Banner stays white. Pressing the white K-Banner provides information about its function.
When there is an unviewed emergency alert, the K-Banner will expand and display the alert subject in the corresponding color. The K-Banner will continue to show the relevant color until all emergency alerts affecting the user have expired.
